Meridien is committed to assisting its clients in all aspects of a successful assignment and to achieving their growth or divestiture objectives. Investment banking services are provided by three Meridien principals, each with significant transaction and business-operating experience gained in Europe and the U.S.A.

Meridien is particularly well positioned to assist:

  • European companies looking to expand their business or investor base through acquisitions or investments in North America.
  • U.S. and Canadian companies wishing to expand within North America borders.
  • North American companies that wish to acquire or invest internationally to leverage unique competences or meet strategic objectives.

Our clients are typically established middle market companies in Europe and North America. They operate primarily in growth sectors, such as information technology, communications, automation, media, personal care and healthcare, as well as in sectors bringing advanced technology to bear in more mature sectors.

We assist our clients in their external growth strategy through acquisitions or in realizing value through the sale of a minority or controlling position in their businesses. We also arrange strategic alliances involving the transfer of technology and business concepts on a cross border basis.

For our M&A clients, we provide added value, by coordinating the work of the various parties to a transaction, including auditors, tax specialists, environmental consultants, and financial institutions.

We have completed numerous corporate valuation assignments and have developed a database of M&A transactions and Initial Public Offerings multiples in the U.S. and in Europe. One of our partners publishes “A Comparative Study of U.S. and European Stock Markets” in collaboration with  Vivianne de Beaufort, Professor at HEC, France.   The conclusions of this study are presented every year in Paris to a forum organized by the Constantin Group and the newspaper La Tribune.
